Be Careful Sitting for Long Time

Many people spend their time sitting for a long time, especially when they are in their office, school, in the car, and even in front of television. Because they enjoy their activities, they do not realize that they have sit too long than they should do. Whereas experts say that sitting too long will endanger our heart, even when we routinely do sport.

Various journals mention that people who spend most of their time sitting will increase the risk of overweight, heart attack, and even shorten one's life.

Study held by Canadian experts examined health report of 17000 persons for 12 years. The result shows that people sitting too long have more risk of death.

Writing in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, Elin Ekblom-Bak at Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences suggested health experts not just recommend people to do sport, but also limited their sitting time.

After sitting 4 hours, our body will send us dangerous signal," said Eklom-Bam. He explained that the gene which was responsible to manage glucose and fat in the body would start to stop working.

Experts warn that the danger of sitting too long can happen to everyone, including those who routinely do sport. Tim Amstrong, sport expert of WHO, said that doing physical activities frequently when the day was in progress would be better than doing physical activities just at specific times.

"Keep moving when you are in your office. If you want to speak with your partner in other room, do not use telephone. It is better you move to come to your friend. Don't be lazy to move yourself," said Ekblom-Bak.

I think it is a good advice, since we always rely on modern technology that is easier us. But the easier, the lazier we are.

Do not Frequently Kiss Your Baby

Everyone, especially mothers, frequently kiss their babies because of their love. But, do you know that often kiss the baby can danger the health of the baby himself?

It is because there are so many viruses can be transfered to the baby via saliva fragment and spread to the air. The baby then inhales the infected air. The statement was declared by dr. Theresia Adhitirta, Product manager of PT. Wyeth Indonesia, in a seminar about immunisation at Siloam Hospital, Kebun Jeruk, Jakarta, Indonesia.

According to dr. Theresia Adhitirta, the habitual of kissing a baby increase the cause of Invasive Pneumococcal Disease (IPD), that is a group of pneumokokus infection diseases such as pneumonia, blood infection (bactremia), and meningitis.

These diseases are one of the death cause and deformity at the baby. "The level of death because of the diseases for the baby is high, at about 50%," said dr. Adhitirta.

According to dr. Adhitirta, the diseases are often found at children below 5 years. Beside, the children at play group have high tendency to be infected by the diseases.

The baby who is born prematurely, or does not consume enough breast milk, or live in high pollute environment have high risk to be infected. " Don't often go to mall with your children," she said.

Living Together Pre-Marriage May Lead to Divorce

Taking a little bloom off millions of Valentine's Day roses, researchers have found that couples who live together before marriage are more likely to have communication problems that could lead to divorce.

"We found that those people who live together were more negative and less positive when resolving a marital problem and when providing support to their partner," Dr. Catherine L. Cohan, of Pennsylvania State University in University Park, told Reuters Health.

Cohan and colleague Stacey Kleinbaum interviewed 92 couples who had been married for less than 2 years. The couples were primarily white and college-educated, and none had children. Some of the couples had cohabited--before marriage with their current spouse or with others--while some had not.

The investigators found that husbands and wives who had lived together before marriage were more verbally aggressive, less supportive of one another and more generally hostile than the spouses who had not lived together, according to the report published in the February issue of the Journal of Marriage and Family.

The researchers based their findings on the participants' reports of marital satisfaction, as well as their views on religion and their history of depression, alcohol use and use of physical aggression when solving disagreements with their spouse.

In addition, the couples were asked to engage in a discussion that involved solving a marital problem together and offering support to one another for concerns not related to the health of their marriage.

According to the authors, it is possible that people who live together before marriage enter the relationship with lower commitment. "The open-ended nature of the relationship," they note, "may cause them to be less motivated to develop their conflict resolution and support skills."

Cohan and Kleinbaum emphasized, however, that although those spouses who had lived together demonstrated greater negativity when communicating they were not irreparably doomed to divorce--but rather more vulnerable to heading down that road.

"We just know that people who lived together first had poorer communication skills," Cohan said. "They were poorer, but they weren't failing. They just were not as good. And we don't know over time whether these poorer skills erode more quickly compared to people who didn't live together."

Cohan said that offering practical advice to couples based on these findings is a tricky matter, given that there are always exceptions to the rule and that further research is needed involving a more diverse group of couples.

"I can say, however, that there's nothing in the research that says that living together helps people in the long-run," Cohan said. "So a firm bit of advice would be to focus on communication. This is sometimes too difficult to do on your own. You might need a third party--a clergy member or a counselor. But don't wait until you have a serious communication problem before you start to work on them, because then it's too late."

An estimated 4 million opposite-sex couples currently live together in the US.

7 prohibition after Meal

Don't smoke- Experiment from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes(chances of cancer is higher).

Don't eat fruits immediately - Immediately eating fruits after meals will cause stomach to be bloated with air. Therefore take fruit 1-2 hour after meal or 1 hour beforemeal.

Don't drink tea - Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will cause the Protein content in the food we consume to be hardened thus difficult todigest.

Don't loosen your belt - Loosening the belt after a meal will easily cause the intestine to be twisted & blocked.

Don't bathe - Bathing will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs & body thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken the digestive system in our stomach.

Don't walk about - People always say that after a meal walk a hundred steps and you will live till 99. In actual fact this is not true. Walking will cause the digestive system to be unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we intake.

Don't sleep immediately - The food we intake will not be able to digest properly. Thus will lead to gastric & infection in our intestine.
